The first HIS PEOPLE CHURCH was started on the University of Cape Town in 1988. These early days were in response
to a strong call of God and accompanied by a tremendous move of His Spirit. The church naturally began to grow in numbers and influence and people began to ask; “who are you?” Our response came from a scripture the Lord gave us out of Revelation 21:3
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.”
Our response was; “tell everybody that we are simply God’s people, we are His People.”
Since that day God has infused our church with a passion to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This has resulted in many church plants, campus ministries and world missions. We are part of the Every Nation family of churches – a body of believers meeting in many different cities around the world all of us still infused with a God given passion to reach Every Nation in our Generation!
